On
our first wedding anniversary (1996), my wife slid a beautifully wrapped box
with a red bow across the table at dinner. "For the next stage of your life,"
she smiled. The accompanying booklet showed a matching Fountain Pen. Shortly
after, I picked up a Pen Magazine and a few vintage pens. I was hooked. The next
few years went from hobby to passion to art.
December 1999 Pentiques.com was launched with a mission to offer expert repair & restoration services with expedited turnaround which completely consumed our evenings and weekends. In April 2007, under Kim's strong encouragement, we took Pentiques.com full-time. This was absolutely insane seeing as she had given up her career to stay at home with our boys, but it was one of those rare cathartic moments in life. We hit the show circuit, and Kim began work with the PCA as a membership coordinator. When you meet her at a show realize she is a closer! Chances are if you are not a PCA member, you will be...
To better serve our clients, we moved into more complex, intricate repairs, added a comprehensive storefront and offer brokering services.
We realized one simple truth; your passion is now our business. We stand on our integrity, prompt friendly customer service, and our reputation. The internet is impersonal; we are not. This is who we are. We hope to earn your business.
Sincerely,
Aaron & Kim Svabik |
